Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016 introduces a number of dishes at its Salad, Soup, Mains and Dessert categories. There are quite a number of interesting new dishes while they also retained various classics items.
NAHMJ have been to Sufood Singapore at their Raffles City outlet for their Mother’s Day Promotion and of course it was with Mom. At our first experience, we were impressed with Sufood Singapore. We never thought vegetarian food could taste so delicious with such an outstanding plating that pleases all senses. As such, we are excited to try out Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016.
At Sufood, they offer 8 course set menu. Sufood did not make any revamp to the first 3 courses, hence diners will still find The Sufood Appetiser consisting of poached Japanese Yuca root drizzled with blueberry coulis, lady’s finger with savour sauce and Alfalfa. Lastly is the savoury cherry tomato jelly.
Next 2 courses which are still on Sufood Singapore Menu are the Rosemary Breadsticks with either Mustard or blueberry dip and finally the Sufood Signature Cider.
Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016
The new menu is available from 13 June 2016.
Salad
Sufood Singapore has created 4 new salads in this new menu. Among the 4, 1 has a savoury dressing while the rest are with the typical sweet and sourish dressing.
First is the highly recommended salad, the Strawberry Snowflake Salad. Per the name, expect strawberry and strawberry dressing. Other ingredients include pineapple, shredded taro with baby spinach as the base. This is a refreshing salad that whet the appetite.
Next is the colourful Rainbow Fruit Salad that has a very unique vegetables, the Crystalline Ice Plant which we have never seen this vegetable previously. This vegetable has a distinct appearance as it consists of tiny crystal on the entire leaf. Its taste is equally atypical because the vegetable is savoury. Overall taste is fruity but we find the pineapple pieces a little too chunky.
Before moving into the savoury salad, one last typical salad is the Macadamia Fruit Salad. Comparatively, this salad is the most filling as it comprises of sweet potatoes. In it, diners will find macadamia nuts, avocados, peach, cherry tomatoes, pineapple and assorted vegetables with vinaigrette dressing.
On the contrary, diners could opt for only savoury salad, Assorted Tossed Salad. It is a mix of corn, red peppers, brinjal, asparagus, deep fried lotus roots and almond served warm. It is with a savoury salad dressing that result in the savoury taste.
In general, the portion of the salad is considerable huge.
Soup
2 new soup were added onto the menu with one creamy soup while the other a clear soup.
Personally, I prefer clear soup therefore I went with the Cabbage & Sweet Potato Soup. The soup is boiled Chinese Cabbage, Yam and Mushroom as a result it is flavourful and tasty. Konjac is also added in the soup for an added texture.
Next is the Creamy Potato Black Bean Soup. Most diners felt it is akin to Mushroom soup.
Mains
Like the Salad, Sufood curated 4 Mains
First on the list is the Curry Cheese Calzone. The serving is humongous. The curry taste is similar to Japanese curry. Beneath the bread dough constituted of assorted mushroom, potatoes, eggs and cheese. In essence, this calzone is equivalent to a curry puff.
Should diner prefer rice, one could opt for the Fruity Mixed Grain Rice. In it constitute of some ingredients which we don’t usually associate with rice such as avocados and apples. The other 2 are pineapples and tomatoes. By and large, the taste is nutty and fruity. The general comments are extreme; either you love it or hate it.
Alternatively, diners could opt for pasta instead. The newly created pasta dish in Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016 is Homemade Tomato Soup Pasta. It is with a spicy tomato base. Personally, it is over my spice tolerance. Beside the trio colour flat pasta, white beech mushroom, wheat gluten and pea are present in the dish.
The last new main is the Cheesy Mushroom Wrap. Within the roll comprises of cheese, abundant caramelised onions and mushroom. Henceforth, we believed that this tasty savoury dish will be well-liked by onions fans.
On the whole, the serving size of every Main is enormous.
Dessert
Finally it is dessert time. After our Mains, most of us were filled to the brim. But lucky, there is always a space in the stomach for dessert.
The one and only new dessert on Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016 is Roselle Jelly. It is a refreshing sourish jelly but certainly not for diners with low sour tolerance.
NAHMJ Verdict
Sufood Singapore New Menu 2016 is not only health but importantly it is as tasty as it looks. There are quite a few noteworthy dishes from the Salad to Dessert.
