I am a big fan of Crab and Lobster and the many crustacean and a bigger fan of the buffet curated by Executive Check Low Hoe Kiat who formerly helmed at Spice Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road. He is now heading Ginger At PARKROYAL on Beach Road.
One of the fond memory of his buffet was the Crab Feast, bringing along that secret weapon, he improvised some recipes and rolled them them out at Ginger at Parkroyal On Beach Road with a Pincer Feast named The Wonder Of Pincers Buffet.
Each day, expect around 5 Crab dishes at the buffet table. The highly anticipated Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab are certainly the signature at Ginger.
They have introduced a new flavour, Salted Egg Yolk Crab to the buffet spread. This is my favourite at The Wonders of Pincers.
For those who loves natural sweetness of the crab, go for the Rock Salt Baked Crab infused with ginger and Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Dang Gui).
Equally tasty dish is the Bee Hoon Crab.
Don’t miss the Pumpkin Lobster in Claypot even it means to queue for it.
I love Live Station and there are 2 at The Wonders of Pincers Buffet. First is the Barbecue Live Station with Grilled Stingray, Prawn and Gong Gong.
Next offers the Penang Prawn Noodle. A pity I was too full to try it out. It certainly looks extremely alluring though.
Oyster Omelette is absolutely a delight, especially those batches fried personally by the Executive Chef. So if he dishes them out, remember to clear the plate.
More seafood indulgence, there are Dang Gui Clams.
And also some cold seafood with options such as Gong Gong, Prawns and Mussels.
Adding on the varieties, Rojak, Salad are also part of the spread.
We won’t complain when more selections are offered at buffet line. And Ginger at Parkroyal On Beach Road has included the Western selection with Roast Beef and Chicken.
And a medley of Pasta are also available.
A handful of Indian dishes, such as Dhal, Bryani Rice, Curry are also added to the spread.
Coming to dessert, beside, the tempting cakes and pastries, an array of Asian desserts are part of the spread too.
These include assortment of Nonya Kueh, hot desserts such as Red Bean Soup.
Last but not least are an array of fruits.
And 2 flavours of ice cream and various toppings.
Assortment of Dilmah Tea and Coffee are also available.

NAHMJ Verdict
The crab dishes offered at Ginger At PARKROYAL On Beach Road by Executive Chef Low is still as delicious as before. In case, you aren’t aware of the popularity of the buffet, I stress that you must make your reservation before heading down to avoid disappointment.
