Oh Matcha Dessert Buffet
Since Lewin Terrace specializes in both Japanese-French culinary techniques henceforth, expect medley of both Japanese and French influenced dessert at the Oh Matcha Dessert Buffet. I counted over a dozen of Matcha flavoured desserts. In addition, there are about half a dozen of non-Matcha desserts too. A good mix.
First is the Warabi Mochi which consist of both Matcha and original flavour. By the side are the Soy powder and Brown Sugar to enhance the flavour of the Mochi. Texture of the Warabi mochi is more jelly-like. I prefer coating these mochi in the Soy powder.
Next is the silky Matcha Jelly that slip down your throat as you slurp.
Tempting spongy Matcha Roll Cake with light vanilla cream is part of the spread as well.
Some may prefer the cream-less Matcha Chiffon instead. If you love them but needed some cream, slapped it with some Matcha Cream.
Personally I find the Matcha Chocolate Macaron too sweet.
More Matcha dessert, chewy outer with soft intereior Matcha Caneles and strong flavoured Matcha Tiramisu are also available as part of the Oh Matcha Dessert Buffet At Lewin Terrace.
Lastly, I can’t decide which is my favourite; Sable, Matcha Babaroa or the Matcha Ice Cream. I was glad that it was a buffet which I can have everything.
Classic Pound Cake in 3 flavours; take your pick, Citrus, Chocolate and Matcha.
More Dessert … Non-Matcha
In case you are going with friends who don’t like Matcha, Oh Matcha Dessert Buffet At Lewin Terrace also offers the non-matcha ones such as the chewy Shiratama in brown sugar.
Or you may like the Smooth Pudding.
Fruit Tart was added to the variety. Some find it too dense but since it is a tart, I felt this should be the way it is. It is a banana flavour tart crowned with fruits.
Creme Brulee in both original and chocolate. I felt the burnt flavour of the caramelised sugar was too strong.
To top it off, Sesame Panna Cotta and Sakura Jelly are also on the table.
Executive Set Lunch
If you feel that you need to complete your meal, you could opt for the 3-Course lunch set menu which is inclusive of dessert buffet only at $58++/pax.
The first course is the Canape Salad. Sparsingly refreshing Yuzu salad dressing was drizzled over the greens. I would prefer more dressing.
2 options for Mains, Sword Fish which has a texture like chicken sat on the beef sauce. The crispy brown rice provided a good additional texture. Alternatively, choose Chicken with a creamy sauce.
Oh Matcha Dessert Buffet At Lewin Terrace is certainly for the Matcha fan. I have no reservation recommending them to anyone who love dessert and Matcha.
