Montana Singapore regularly improvises and introduced variation items to its menu hence it isn’t a surprise that shortly, after 2 months since we last visited the cafe for something different, we now welcome Montana Singapore New Revamped Menu 2018.
One thing remains unchanged, it is still located at the same unit in POMO. The design and furniture’s are largely still intact.
Montana Singapore New Revamped Menu 2018
Montana Singapore New Revamped Menu 2018 is burgers-centric. They have once again revived them and launches patty and sauces with largely Asian flavours.
Burgers
Since burgers is the highlight of the menu, let’s start with this.
We are big fan of their Mac & Cheese food, and we are very fond of their last Mac & Cheese Waffle. Hence when we know about the very same ingredients making into the Mac Daddy Burger ($12.90), we are very excited. The Mac & Cheese were deep-fried and used as bun, sandwiched with a beef patty. Overall was a little bland though.
Laksa Chicken Burger ($11.90) sounds unique and I love the idea of weaving local flavours into classic Western food. However, laksa flavour was underwhelming.
Atonished by the how meaty the soft-shell crab was in the Chilli Crab Burger ($12.90). Overall was mediocre as there wasn’t any exciting factor. They could use a more unique chilli rather than something akin to the ketchup.
Pasta
Salted Yolk Prawn Pasta ($16.90) was another dish that attracts. A pity Salted egg flavour was weak while dominated by cream.
Sides
Mains with no sides is boring.
Should you be a fan of Mac & Cheese, go for the Mac & Cheese Fritters ($10)
Coconut Cold Brew Chocolate
Coconut Cold Brew Chocolate ($6 to $6.20) is a new invention. According to Montana Singapore, it is world first. We tried 50% of the drink There are original, mainly herbal-like. The other 2 are Cherry Vanilla and Mango Passionfruit. The clear winner is the las drink since the mango and Passionfruit masked the acquired grassy taste.
If you prefer a Hot Chocolate drink, select the V60 Chocolate. This isn’t the typical hot chocolate that we are familiar, but a clear golden brown coloured drink. Taste-wise, akin to herbal drink with chocolate hint.
Desserts
After exploring the different desserts such freak cakes, now it’s time for Soft Serve making their appearance at Montana Singapore. There are 2 series. Soft Serve in either vanilla or swirl with coconut scent.
First, simple soft serve in cup or cone. We tried the Matcha Oreo ($5.80). Nothing very matcha but delicious.
Next was Lavender Raw Honey ($5.80) with a good balance of 2 elements.
Lastly our favourite is the Waffle series with Soft Serve, Grace Kelly ($7.20).
NAHMJ Verdict
Montana Singapore has always been creative and this round, we still see the flair in them through the Montana Singapore New Revamped Menu 2018 though the recipe could be improved.
