I got to know Burlamacco Ristorante due to a friend who is a fan of this restaurant. Ever since her introduce to this restaurant we have been returning. One of which was a Restaurant Week. Recently, they have relaunched the Burlamacco Ristorante Sunday Recovery Brunch Menu.
For those who have not heard about this Italian restaurant, they are suituated in a shop house along Amoy Street. Burlamacco recently celebrated their 5th Anniversary. Chef Owner Chef Gabriele Piegaia specialises in Tuscany region cuisine.
Burlamacco Ristorante Sunday Recovery Brunch
At the Burlamacco Ristorante Sunday Recovery Brunch, Chef Gabriele Piegaia will showcase his classic specialties. This brunch is only available on Sunday.
Starters
Beginning with a variety of appetisers.
First was the thumbs-up Hand Chopped Red Tuna Tartar Served with Avocado ‘Battuta’. Well seasoned raw tuna with Avocado was a splendid combination.
Follows by numerous Cold Cuts. One of the crowd favourite was the Parma Ham with Melon.
For the more adventurous, opt for the Stewed Tripe with Tomato Sauce. Chewy to the bite with mainly tomato flavoured.
Mains
Moving into Mains, there were Pastas. Boring looking al dente Aglio Olio Pasta was surprisingly tasty.
More those who prefer stronger flavoured food and love tomato-based pasta sauce could order the Papparelle. Some might find it too sourish but I love it.
Due to Christmas, Chef added Turkey Roll with Jam and Fries to the Brunch. We were more excited over the fries than the Turkey.
For those who love fish could look forward to the Pan-fried Seabass.
Dessert
Brunch is not complete without dessert.
Panettone, a Christmas special was part of the Brunch dessert. We find this Christmas bread a little to dry.
Tiramisu is always not to be missed at Italian restaurant. A decent one though certainly not the best
Lastly, we highly recommend the Chocolate Tart. Highly chocolaty centre with buttery crumble tart was irresistible.
