The Soup Spoon Union x Cartoon Network featuring Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Adventure Time and We Bare Bears is now here at Waterway Point.

 

Decked with the characters boost the ambience of the theme cafe. I could spot my favourite character Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls around the cafe space too. 

 

 

 

Like Central Perk, F.R.I.E.N.D.S Theme Cafe, the food served at Cartoon Network revolve around the characters. Either it is their fave food or it appears in the story.

 

 

 

We had the opportunity to try a fraction of the food served at The Soup Spoon Union x Cartoon Network Cafe. First was Ben10 Baked Fries & Meatballs ($8.90). For those who love the cheese pull, this is he dish to order. The meatball has a overly fine grind texture though tasty.

 

Soup lovers could opt for either the Velvety Mushroom or Clam Chowder Powerpuff Potpie ($10.90). Texture of the soup was more starchy than creamy. 

 

 

 

Two other appetisers which we didn’t try were Adventure Time BBQ Drumlets ($8.90) and the Pan-Pan Calzone ($10.90) that was sold in the We Bare Bears food truck story.

 

A total of 4 Mains were what we tried. First was the Omnitrix Pizza ($14.90). Pizza base was relatively thin and it has a good amount of cheese and tomato sauce too. However, I didn’t quite agree with the seaweed on the pizza though. Anyway, this is a minor concern since I could easily remove it.

 

 

 

Grizzly Beef Burger ($18.80) was next we tried. Similar to the Ben10 meatballs, the grind of the patty was far too fine.

 

If you don’t eat beef, chicken option is available, Blossom’s Grilled Chicken Steak ($14.80). It was tasty though nothing wow.

 

 

 

Per the name of the dish, Finn’s Black Pepper Seafood Pasta ($18.90) suggested, the flavour was dominated by Black Pepper. I suspect, you either love it or hate it.

 

 

 

More Mains option such as We Bare Bear Agnus Beef Ribeye Steak ($23.80), Finn & Jake’s Red Chicken with Velvet Waffle ($15.90), Ben10’s Meatball Spaghetti ($15.90), Pan-Pan Baked Rice with Teriyaki Chicken ($17.80) and Finn Chicken Burger ($17.80) are on the menu.

 

 

 

 

Some of the drinks are very pretty which are great for the square. The pink cotton candy in the Blossom Strawberry Soda ($10.90) and the orangish pink Soda contributed to the attractiveness. Taste-wise, I felt there was artificial flavouring and colouring in it.

 

 

 

Personally, I prefer the Ben10 Root Beer Float ($8.90). The green-coloured and apple-flavoured jelly was surprisingly a great add. The lightly sourish and fruity fragrance not only reduce the sweetness level, it also complemented the Root Beer.

 

If you love the Milkshake and prefer the light version, various options were on the menu. Choices available were abundant. We tried the Finn & Jake Peanut Butter & Banana Milkshake and the Powerpuff Vanilla Milkshake. More selections were on the menu, Powerpuff Strawberry, Ice Bear’s Oreo Milkshake, Grizzly Milkshake (nutella) and Panda Milkshake (choc). All Milkshake are priced at $14.90 each.

 

 

 

If Milkshake couldn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, Pan-Pan’s Brownie with Ice Cream ($12.90) is other option.

 

 

NAHMJ Verdict

 

The Soup Spoon Union x Cartoon Network Cafe is great for family with especially kids to spend this holiday. And no doubt for those who love Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Adventure Time and We Bare Bears.
