For fans of Atlas Coffeehouse who are working around Shenton Way, the good news is that they have opened a new cafe, Lunar Coffee Brewers at OUE Downtown Gallery. Lots of unique F&B establishments are housed within this roof such as Venue By Sebastian, SAMA Curry and so on are situated within the same roof.
It is very easy to locate Lunar Coffee Brewers since they occupied one end of OUE Downtown Gallery. In addition, they are next to an entrance.
Similar to their sister outlet at Bukit Timah, they incorporated marble-looking features in the cafe. Over at Lunar Coffee Brewers, these are on the counters. On a wall was a shade of blues contributing to a dreamy feel.
Only 6 Mains are available ranging from $14.50 to $16. Some of the popular items found at Atlas such as Summer Chicken Stew ($14.50) and Miso Nori Salmon Soba ($14.50) are on Lunar Coffee Brewers menu too. I have not tried them at Atlas so I opted the latter, even though I usually avoid Salmon for fear of the fishy taste and smell.
This lightly sweet savour Soba was absolutely tasty and on the point. From the Salmon to the Soba and Egg were at perfect texture. Furthermore, I was glad, my concern was not valid. A pity for now, Mains aren’t served over the weekend.
Over the weekends, cafe-hoppers could turn to their coffee which are available on weekdays too. One of the option is the White ($4.50) which I find it high in acidity with berries tones and medium body. Other great option are the Cold Brew ($7) such as The Milky Way (white) and The Cosmos (black). Alternatively, Nitro Cold Brew ($6.50) is another choice.
If you aren’t a coffee drinker, opt for the Premium Cold Brew Tea ($7).
For the sweet tooth like myself, either the Earl Grey Soft Serve ($5.90) with cornflakes and crumble or Milky Way Soft Serve ($5.90) served with homemade shortbread crumble. I chose the former as I have a soft spot for Earl Grey dessert. Personally, I find the serving good for two. Earl Grey flavour was enough to savour though the texture could have been smoother. The crunch is certainly a good add.
It is very generous of Lunar Coffee Brewers to offer both Sparkling and normal Tap Water to diners.
We love the overall menu served at Lunar Coffee Brewers. However, NAHMJ find it a pity that they arean’t serving the Mains in weekends. If they do, perhaps they could divert the crowd from Altas Coffeehouse.
