Rasapura Masters is a huge food court offering an array of delicious local and international choices with about 2 dozen of stalls operating 24 hours.

A total of 10 tasting portion of local dishes are available in The Good Old Taste Heritage Set Meal By Rasapura Masters which include a drink (tea / coffee / water) and a packet of old-school biscuits (worth $3.90). Nine of the dishes are served on a traditional Bamboo serveware. I was somehow transported back to the 80s. 

 

 

The Good Old Taste Heritage Set Meal By Rasapura will be served at an exclusively area cordoned off for guest to fully relish on every dish.

 

 

3 choices of the old-fashioned biscuits are offered; Baby Fish Biscuits, Iced Gem Biscuits and ABC Biscuits.

 

Let’s start looking at the 9 items offered on The Good Old Taste Heritage Set Meal By Rasapura Masters

 

 

First is the extremely peppery Bak Kut Teh by Ng Ah Sio which one should eat it before the rest. This is my favourite among the 9 items.

 

 

Next, moved on to the seafood-flavoured-filled Hokkien Mee by Thye Hong. Squeeze in some lime to add some zest to the dish.

 

 

Go for the packful of flavours Laksa before digging in to the rest of the non-soupy item. 

 

 

On the Good Old Taste Heritage Set Meal By Rasapura Masters was one other item by Thye Hong, the Carrot Cake.

 

 

 

Two Indian food items to showcase the diversity of the local scene, Nasi Briyani and Roti Prata, both by Song of India, were included too.

 

 

Of course the famous Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice has to be represented in the Heritage Set Meal too. The lightly sweetish chicken rice with succulent chicken is by Tong Fong Fatt.

 

In Singapore, the Satay is offered either by the Chinese or Malay. In this heritage set, the tender, well-marinated Chicken Satay by Huat Huat BBQ is a Chinese rendition.

 

 

 

Our least favourite was the Popiah, another item by Huat Huat BBQ as the skin wrap was a little too thick and dry and filling was too bland for a heavy palate like myself.

 

 

Rounding the meal with a Singaporean favourite Ice Kacang at the end of the meal is refreshing. What I like about the Ice Kacang is that it was likely saccharine.
