Pho 24 Vietnamese Restaurant @ Gandaria City - Jakarta, Indonesia

I have no confidence of Vietnamese food in Jakarta, since the first we tried at Do An Vietnamese Restaurant disappoints. As my colleague is craving for some soupy food as such we turned to Pho 24 Vietnamese Restaurant while we were at Gandaria City. I was glad that the food served at this restaurant was far better.

Situated at level 1, above ground floor, around the food street area. The unit is one of the relatively large restaurant around Gandaria City. Though huge, it was relatively quiet when we visited them.

Started our dinner with Vietnam Sampler (IDR 52k) which feature the Summer Roll, Spring Roll, Meat Skewer and Chicken Wing. Certainly a great way to savour the various offerings at Pho 24.

Since the signature at Pho 24 is the Pho, it is a must try. We opted for Pho All (IDR 60k) where there are beef slices, beefball and brisket. I must say that this is closest to authentic Vietnamese Pho flavour though not entirely yet. It was a comforting bowl of soupy carbo great for rainy weather.

For variety, we tried the Lemongrass, Salt and Pepper Shrimp (IDR 45k). Nothing absolutely Vietnamese but we enjoyed the flavours though it was a little salty.

Es Campur (IDR 30k) was the dessert cum drink that I order. At least, the shaved ice dessert isn’t strong in colouring and artificial flavouring. And I think the combination of the ingredients in there.

While my dinning partner got herself the sourish Tamarind Rosella (IDR 30k).

NAHMJ Verdict

At last, we found a Vietnamese restaurant, Pho 24 Vietnamese Restaurant, serving decent Pho.
