Before entering the Food Court arena, Redring Treasures Cutlet Noodles started out as a humble hawker stall at Holland Drive Market selling Wonton Noodles after the couple got retrenched from reputable US company. Both were managers back then. The couple were encouraged by their eldest son, Roy, to start the F&B business and he helped to develop the recipe too as he has sensitive senses of smell and taste.
Now, instead of offering Wonton Noodles, they provide the Cutlet Noodles instead as they believe in innovating to improve. They offered a variety of cutlets; Chicken, Pork, Fish and Squid.
Since the outlet is fame for the cutlet noodles, hence this is certainly the must try. At the Redring Treasures, they use the Egg noodles for a more bouncy texture and eggy flavour. You could have it with spicy or non-spicy sauce. If you aren’t a noodle fan like me, opt for either Hor Fun or Curry Rice.
Some diners may prefer having platter for sharing due to the variety. Redring Cutlet Platter for 2 pax ($13) or 4 pax ($21). We opted for the latter.
Besides having a good variation of Mains, Redring offers quite a number of sides too. Few of the popular sides are the Chicken Croquette ($6.50 for 5 pcs) and Paper Wrapped Chicken ($5.90 for 3 pcs) which were out of stock when we were there for dinner.
Instead, we turned to the equally popular, Fupi Fried Dumplings ($5.90) and Onion Blossom ($7.50 small). For the former, do eat it while is hot. When cold, the beancurd skin turned soggy. We love the Onion Ring, there was hardly any marinate as such only sweet natural tasitng onions.
NAHMJ Verdict
We missed out on the Fish cutlet, but among the 3 we tried, my favourite is the chicken, followed by squid and pork.
