One Two Kitchen Korean BBQ & Restaurant has 2 outlets, one at the highly dense Korean restaurant stretch, Tanjong Pagar and the other is at Kim Tian Road. We went to the latter. And interesting, they are bold enough to set foot right beside Big Mama, an extremely popular Korean Restaurant in Tiong Bahru.
As I walked by the outlet, I didn’t even realise I have reached. A long the walk way, there isn’t clear signage of the restaurant or unit number. All I notice was dark greyish colour tones.
Interior was very much a typical Korean BBQ restaurant. And the chairs are bucket for holding your bulky belongings
As usual, complimentary appetisers and sauces were provided.
For convenience of decision, One Two Kitchen offered 4 sets (Set A – $109, Set B – $71, Set C – $54 & Set D – $36), depending on the number of people in the group and their appetite and of course preference too, choose your preferred.
We went for Set A since we have 4 pax for dinner. First there was the Steam Egg, It is smooth and very much like scramble egg.
Next select a soup. We went for the familiar option, Kimchi Soup. I find it too spicy for my tastebud. The other option is the Bean Paste Soup.
The crowd pleaser Korean pancake is also part of the set meal. With an option of Seafood Pancake or Kimchi Pancake. Our choice was the former. Generous amount of ingredients were in the pancake.
Meat available in this set were Boneless Prime Rib, Pork Belly, Spicy Pork Belly and Chicken.
Most of us love the Spicy Pork Belly. The taste is akin to the chinese BBQ pork. Personally, my fave was the Boneless Prime Rib instead.
On the menu was a good list of popular Korean dishes. And the most attractive of them all was the Ginseng Chicken Soup ($21) which most of us can’t resist. I am no fan of soup, but I love the taste of One Two Kitchen version.
Combo Fried Chicken ($23 for 10 pcs) was the best as it consists of 3 flavours; original, sweet and spicy and soya. It may not be the best Korean Fried Chicken but nonetheless it was delicious.
Food served at One Two Kitchen Korean BBQ & Restaurant was decent. Since it is off the bustling crowd, it could be a better option for those who prefer quieter spot.
