Makan@Jen at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore has been curating different buffet fare every now and then. Previously, we tried the Hawker Fare Buffet, and now they are introducing the ‘Ultimate Prawn Party’ By Makan@Jen.

 

 

‘Ultimate Prawn Party’ By Makan@Jen

 

Four different types of prawns from around the world are featured at the ‘Ultimate Prawn Party’ By Makan@Jen. Namely, Thai White Prawns, Indian River Prawns, Norwegian Scampi and Vietnamese Yabbies. The best way to savour the original flavour of these prawns are to grill them.

 

 

Each type of prawn has a slight difference in texture and flavour. Our favourite is the Norwegian Scampi. It is the sweetest among the 4.

 

 

In addition, Makan@Jen will be showcasing these 4 types of prawns using different cooking method and style. Such as simmered in lightly alcoholic broth, stir-fried, steamed, baked and even coated in batter and fried to a golden crisp. The different prawn dishes will be rotated throughout the promotion period.

 

 

Diners could expect dishes such as Lemongrass & Chili Yabbies, Barbecue Prawn Saffron Rice, Salted Egg Prawn, Baked Cheese Prawn and many more.

 

 

Furthermore, the restaurants whipped five premium sauces to accompany to prawns; salted egg yolk, black pepper, sweet and sour, prawn bisque, and Thai chilli

 

 

Besides the prawn galore spread on the buffet table, diners are treated to other delights such as the Satay, Salad, Roast meat and many more.

 

 

 

Not forgetting the spread at the dessert table too.

From now till 1 December 2016, Hotel Jen Orchardgateway, will be serving the ‘Ultimate Prawn Party’ By Makan@Jen from Mondays to Thursdays, 6.30pm to 10.00pm.

It is at $42++ per pax which nicludes Makan@Jen buffet and free flow coffee, tea and signature Iced Tea.
