POCCI Cafe is a cute cafe with dog as theme. The mascot is decorated all over the cafe; in the logo, as accessories and painting too. In other word, the theme is prominently found throughout. Located on Jl. Cimanuk with few other cafe and not to mention within the vicinity, there are more. It is certainly competitive and each and every cafe is out with their strength to attract. And we chose to dine in this cafe due to cuteness over load.

 

Divided into 2 sections are the indoor seats with air-con.

 

 

 

And the Al Fresco seats with doses of Vitamin D.

 

 

As we entered the cafe, the pair of dogs greeted us. Next our attention was on the hanging white coffee cups above the counter. I thought it was creative.

 

 

 

The cafe served an array of food. And it is interesting to note that they serve Mains such as Salmon, Pizza, Pasta, Rice and Bites during Breakfast hours too. As we don’t get it in Singapore, I was surprised.

 

Since it was for breakfast that we were at Pocci Cafe, we ordered 2 Breakfast items. First we have the Croque Madame (IDR 55k). Immediately when served, we notice the plating. It wasn’t pretty. Luckily, the food was tasty.

 

 

 

Next was a French Toast With Banana (IDR 30k). I didn’t expect ice cream on the plate since it was too early for them. And I was surprised to find plain toasted bread sandwiched with caramelised banana. No where close to any French Toast element was found on the food. Overall, it was decent though I was expecting more.

 

 

We did not order any signature bites, instead we headed straight into the Mains, the Pan Pinky Salmon (IDR 75k). I was amazed by the taste. It was absolutely fabulous. I am not a Salmon fan but I certainly approve of this dish since it was absence of the usual fishy taste.

 

 

I tried the Blue Aceh Coffee (IDR 32k), as it was a recommended drink by the cafe. Extremely disappointed with the coffee as syrup was added. As a result, I didn’t enjoy. Because I always prefer a pure coffee with milk only. The other drink we ordered were Cafe Latte (IDR 30k) and Creme Brulee (IDR 35k).  And Frappuccino is available too.

 

For non-caffeine drink, cafe hoppers can get the Chocolate drink, Tea, Soda or Juice.

 

 

NAHMJ Verdict

 

It is a pity that the plating at Pocci Cafe isn’t as attractive or as cute as the cafe. Fortunately, tastewise, it is above average.
