Time And Flow Champagne is located at basement of Scotts Square. It is established on the left of London Fat Duck. Since we are on London Fat Duck, a good news, they are opening up another outlet at VivoCity. Anyway, back to Time And Flow Champagne. Before I made my reservation with Time And Flow Champagne, I googled for review but found none. I seriously find it strange. I was a little worried about the quality and taste then. Anyway, I just went ahead with it. It turned out to be a hidden gem!
The space at Time And Flow Champagne is modern. The dinning area is tiny. I estimated about 20 seats including the bar seats.
At Time And Flow Champagne, per the name suggested, diners get to relax at the restaurant for your food with free flow of Champagne. Since they serve alcoholic drinks, hence this restaurant is best for diners who enjoy drinking. It is a great place for small group gathering of 3 to 4 person.
I was at Time and Flow Champagne with my Mom for food, since neither of us drink, except for sipping. Over here, they have only 1 menu each month, as such my Mom was disappointed when she saw the one and only fixed set menu. She felt she wasn’t given the option to choose what she likes.
They serve mainly All Day High Tea with a new menu each month. As I highlighted earlier, only one menu is available. Diners could opt for either with Alcohol ($88 +++) which has mainly Champagne. Alternatively, Diners could choose for No Alcohol ($48 +++) that is with Mocktail and tea. There is a Monday Special Alcohol ($88 +++) where a variety of alcohol such as Beer, Red & White Wine, Champagne and Cocktails are served. This is available only on Monday.
The free flow drink is available for 90 minutes while diners could occupy the table for 180 minutes.
After we placed our order for 2 set of High Tea with no alcohol, we were served the Welcome Drink, a Strawberry and Mint Soda (if I remember correctly). It was a refreshing drink and lightly flavoured.
We commenced our High Tea with the Oyster. On it were sea urchin, caviar and caviar cream. When I saw this, I get a little jitter as my Mom doesn’t fancy raw food. I didn’t mention it to her and she tried. It was a relief when she enjoyed.
Next the platter of canapes were served together with the desserts. The platter consisted of Japanese Omelette, Smoked Salmon, Stuffed Truffle Croissant, Tapas Carne Wagyu, Pincho Moruno, Caviar D’aubergine, Macarons and Opera.
Each and every single canapes were outstanding. My favourite is the Caviar D’aubergine consisting of Eggplant puree, Tomato and Calamari.
We love both the Opera and Macarons. Though my Mom prefers the Opera while I love both. Lol!
It was thoughtful of Time and Flow Champagne to include the Hokkaido Vegetable Warm Salad as part of the High Tea Menu. It consisted of common vegetables such as the lotus root, brocoli, french beans, purple cabbage, zucchini and lady fingers plus prawns. The vegetables were sauteed with enough salt and abundant garlic. It was a comfort plate of salad.
Before we ended our meal, we were served the Sushi with salmon and A4 Miyazaki Wagyu and some Japanese herb. Again, raw food was served, I was equally worried that my Mom will not enjoy. I was surprise to find that she loves it. She loves the rice of the sushi most.
For the non-alcoholic drink option, there were 4 options. First was the Seasonal Fruit Mocktail, a concoction of Mango, Pineapple and Chamomile Tea. Next was the Seasonal Vegetable Mocktail. This is a pretty interesting drink with Cranberry, Tomato and balsamic vinegar. The next 2 were simple Ice Flower Green Tea and a Hot Organic Bancha. My favourite drink is the simple Hot Organic Bancha.
We love the food in the June 2016 menu. We thought it was a hidden find. Time And Flow Champagne is a great place for small group gathering and in addition, it is a great place for those who enjoys their Alcoholic drinks.
