Sweet Monster Singapore - Ice Cream Kiosk

Sweet Monster Singapore – Plaza Singapura, Dhoby Ghaut (Closed)

Sweet Monster Singapore is now located at Basement 2 of Plaza Singapura. Hailed from Korea, serving the popular signature Gourmet Popcorn Ice Cream in 5 flavours popcorn on vanilla soft serve.

As Sweet Monster Singapore is operated out of a takeaway kiosk. So no seat was available. Its kiosk is decorated in its theme colour, blue and green. And with its cute Sweet Monsters mascot, it is quite attractive.

Sweet Monster Singapore - Sweet Monster Menu

The 5 flavours popcorn ice cream were Caramel, Milk, Mix, Strawberry and Choco. I had the Mix (Caramel and Cheese). The vanilla soft serve was smooth and silky and one important factor was the sweetness level was perfect for me. The most popular flavour in Korea was the Mix.

The second I tried was the chocolate popcorn ice cream.

I tried all the popcorn flavours, Caramel, Milk, Mix, Strawberry and Choco, all were equally good.

I got home the Caramel Popcorn to share.

And the Strawberry Popcorn as I thought it was an unique flavour

Beside the Popcorn and Ice Cream, Tiramisu and Cheesecake were offered too. Each with 4 flavours. The most popular cake in Korea was the Banana Nutella Tiramisu.

I tried the Original Tiramisu and the Caramel Walnut Cheesecake instead.

I did not try the Tiramisu as my Mom finished as she found it too delish. She couldn’t stop until the whole slice ended in her stomach. Lol. As for the Caramel Walnut Cheesecake, I thought it could be better.

Sweet Monster Singapore - Americano in its Blue Monster Cup

At Sweet Monster Singapore, a good list of beverages were offered over at the kiosk too, with a variety of coffee, choco, frappe, ade and tea. I got the Americano since it came with my ice cream during the promotion. It was decent, full body, nutty flavour and low acidity. I shared it with my dad and his remark was it tasted like the coffee from McDonald.

Sweet Monster Singapore - Lemon Ade

There are 3 Ade flavour, Lemon (a blue coloured drink), Orange and Grapefruit. I was surprised to find the drink pretty good. There was a good balance of sweetish and sourish.

NAHMJ Verdict

In general, the dessert sold at Sweet Monster Singapore weren’t as sweet as what are available in the market. Comparatively, it is less sweet which was perfect for my tastebud.
