Taro Ball Signature
Under the Taro Ball Signature, certainly the Taro Ball is the key topping. All its pre-selected set has the Taro Ball. You will find either the Black Sugar Ai Yu, Grass Jelly or Beancurd as the base.
I tried the Black Sugar Ai Yu Special (with Mango). There was a promotion on the day of my visit. Mango was added to the Black Sugar Ai Yu Special. We like the texture and the flavour of the Black Sugar Ai Yu Jelly together with the soft and yet a little chewy (q q) Taro Balls. Together with the Mango, sourish sweetish, brought the desserts to a next level of enjoyment.
Grass Jelly Series
Next the Grass Jelly Series, 4 selections.
The grass jelly was flavourful, smooth and a little chewy. We enjoyed it together with the rest of the toppings.
Beancurd Series
There are 3 different sets under the Beancurd Series. Namely, Plain, Mango and Durian. Since it was Durian season and I am never enough of Durian, my choice would certainly be the Durian Beancurd.
As a scoop of Durian flesh was soaked in the dessert. The entire bowl was infused with Durian flavour. The beancurd was smooth and not too beany. But I like it this way. And most importantly, I find the alkaline taste missing. Peanut and Taro Balls topping were also added.
Verdict
We find that the desserts by Nine Fresh outstanding. Not only it was delish, but also value for money. Unfortunately, they do not have an outlet in town, otherwise, we could patron them more often.
NAHMJ Favourite
Black Sugar Ai Yu Special and the Durian Beancurd are a must have. I am sure most who tried already have found their favourite Nine Fresh dessert.
