Otaku Oasis has taken over Mollycoddle Dessert Cafe at Kelantan Road. With Otaku Oasis, cafe hoppers no longer was offered with good range of selection, instead a focused one with only ice cream in a number of flavours.

 

 

At Otaku Oasis, I counted about dozen flavours available for selection. The flavours in my opinion, wasn’t as interesting as most of the ice cream parlours.

 

 

Ample of seats were made available in the cafe. The mainly feature of the cafe was that the owner featureing his work on the specially made shelving at his cafe. And these were at the inner end of the cafe. This section was homely, somewhat like a Japanese modern home.

 

 

On the 3 layered shelves, easily it held space for about 50 models. The owner was prepared to sell them should you set your eyes on any.

 

 

Most of the flavours were pretty common. Maybe except for Pumpkin sorbet and Bubble Gum. The premium flavours are $0.70 more per scoop. Of course, there were coffee and tea on the menu too. The Tiramisu appears so random among the menu.

 

 

I went for the Raspberry Yogurt and Hazelnut Ice Cream. I enjoyed the texture of the ice cream, smooth and creamy. As for the flavour and taste, I find most of the flavour a little too sweet. Somehow, the sweet tasting note instead the flavour linger in the mouth a little too long. To those who enjoyed sour tasting food, go for the Raspberry Yogurt.

 

 

NAHMJ Verdict

 

It may be worthwhile to provide more interesting or unique flavours since getting the the cafe require some effort for those who don’t drive.
