Bornga Korean Restaurant at Vivocity queue for dinner never failed to exist, and especially over weekend, including Friday. But its lunch situation is totally different. On a randam occassion, I was at Vivocity with a friend and we thought why not popped over Bornga to check out the queue. Bingo! There was hardly any queue. And this is how finally, I tried Bornga.
The first to be served after we placed our order were the Korean usual starters. You will surely find the Kimichi among the varieties.
We ordered 2 meat for the BBQ, marinated Pork Belly and the Premium Cut Beef.
The service crew very quickly came with the burning charcoal and the grill plate and started the grilling.
When it is ready, the meat was transferred to plate.
Diners could either eat the meat as it is or enjoy it the Korean way in wraps.
Bornga provides an assortment of vegetables and sauces for the wrap. I prefer to wrap it with the vegetables for 2 reasons. First, I like the fermented bean sauce. Secondly, it reduce the “jelat” feeling. While my friend, prefer having the meat on its own without any condiment and vegetable.
Two other items, beside the BBQ meat, we have for dinner was the Glass Noodle and the Yukgaejung (served with a bowl of rice).
Both were extremely tasty and definitely worth ordering. We agreed that we would be more than happy just simply having the Yakgaejung with rice for a meal.
NAHMJ Verdict
It was lots of food for two for dinner. Food served at Bornga was certainly delicious and we can’t wait to go back for more. The food item that NAHMJ would highly recommend are the BBQ Premium Cut Beef, Yakgaejung and the Glass Noodle.
