Akashi Japanese Restaurant Dinner – Vivocity

Akashi Japanese Restaurant is one of my favourite haunt. As it offers affordable quality Japanese food at a convenient location. I usually dine at Akashi Japanese Restaurant during lunch. As its set lunch is value for money. This was the first time having dinner there. Since I was there in our team, I could order more for trying. Unfortunately, a number of the guys in the team are small eaters.

Sashimi

A small plater of Sashimi was for sharing.

The variety was pretty good. There are some common and popular selections such as tuna and salmon. I like it with scallops and the shell fish selection on the platter too. It was certainly fresh.

Hand Roll

They have a quite a number of hand roll. A pity that there isn’t the lobster salad hand roll. I was craving for this.

The hand roll was kind of a little too wet. It soaked the seaweed and it turned soggy fast.

Sushi Rolls

The selection of sushi rolls is extensive too.

We ordered the Unagi, Prawn and the California (not in picture) rolls. The Prawn roll was turned out to be most popular. I thought it would be the California Roll.

Tempura

Akashi has a few assortment for Tempura, we chose the Mixed Tempura which has both the vegetable and prawn Tempura.

The batter was thinly coated on the pieces and was light. So it was good. Most importantly, the pieces of vegetables and prawns were fresh.

Noodles

We order both the Soba and Udon.

Personally, I find equally good but some how Udon was a more popular choice.

Garlic Fried Rice

The Garlic Fried Rice was fried with abundant chopped garlic.

There were so much till you could see the garlic pieces. It certainly provided the fragrance but a little over dose for me.

Desserts

Desserts selection was limited to only Ice Cream. I certainly hope to see more variety.

Though they have about 7 or so flavours. We went for the Matcha and Yuzu. Both were equally delish.

Final words about Akashi Japanese Restaurant. It never disappoints.
