Open Book Cafe (Open B k Cafe) is found within a Chinese bookshop known as Grassroots Book Room (草根书室). I happened to chance upon it when passing by the area. It is next to The Reading Room Cafe. What prompted me to enter was a lovely and cute poster placed outside the bookshop.
When you entered, you will be greeted by the bookshop and you will see lots of drawings hung on all sides of the wall.
Walked right to the back and you will find the cafe.
The cafe has a modern vintage feel and they were playing classical music when I was there. I like the cosy feel, the music; or rather everything about the cafe. They have displayed quite some Chinese books at corners too. You can enjoy reading them over the lovely cup of coffee or tea.
Currently, the cafe serves only simple bread and coffee & tea. But they will be having more items after the Lunar New Year.
I got a cup of Cappuccino. It is a medium to light body with low acidity and mainly a nutty flavour note and mild fruitiness.
Before leaving the cafe, I got home a Walnut Bread to try. The bread was soft and fluffy and lots of walnut. It tasted very much like home made bread.
I checked them out after 3 months but still offering the same.
