I was attracted by a Char Siu (BBQ Honey Pork) photo from Instagram that got me excited to try CH叉R (Char), a Restaurant along Guillemard Road whipping Cantonese cuisines.

I went with my aunt and uncle on a weekday for dinner and to our surprise it was crowded. We were in the queue for almost 30 minutes. Remember to make your reservation if you are going there.
While we were waiting, we started looking at the menu and decided what we wanted for dinner. Immediately, we placed our order when we were seated. It was a shame that their signature Char Siu were sold.
As usual, we will have a vegetable. We opted for Sambal Kang Kong. The sambal wasn’t too spicy and it was tasty.
Since it is a Cantonese Restaurant, Roast is a must. We ordered a double roast of Roast Duck and Roast Crispy Pork Belly. We love the Roast Duck. It was tasty with a good crisp skin. The Roast Crispy Pork Belly was equally awesome. Our only complaint was it was too fatty. The skin was excellent, as you bite, you can hear the crunch of the crispiness.
The last dish was Minched Meat with Aubergine in Casserole. Among the dishes we ordered, this was the least delish, nevertheless still above average. It was a great dish to go with rice.
My uncle also ordered a Shredded Duck Noodle Soup. I didn’t take a photo and I didn’t try as I was too full. The portion was huge.
We enjoyed our dinner at CH叉R (Char). No doubt, I will be back for the Char Siu and I am keen to try their Beef Hor Fun too. Oh ya, do remember to make reservation before popping by.
