Miss Molly’s Cafe is located in a corner shophouse in Tanjong Pagar. It is pretty easy to locate the cafe. If you are taking bus there, it is a stone throw from the bus stop.
The cafe has uniform tables and chairs and they are neatly arranged. There is only one huge table for large group which can accommodate about ten diners. They have used lots of different ornaments, some modern, some vintage, to nicely decorate the cafe.
The menu is pretty simple, a mixture of western and fusion where the east meets west. One of the very interesting dish served at Miss Molly’s is the ‘Kiam Chye’ Aglio Olio (Linguine Aglio Olio with Chinese Salted Olive Vegetables). There a few other where the East meets West dishes like Shrimp Sambal Belachan and the Har Jiong Kai Sandwich.
Miss Molly’s serves value for money set lunch too. There are a drink, bar bites and desserts served in Miss Molly’s too. If you like salted caramel, there’s a hot Salted Caramel drink.
I ordered the Har Jiong Kar Sandwich Set Lunch. It has a soup of the day, Potato and Leek Soup and a drink. I topped up a little for a Cappuccino.
The Potato and Leek Soup has a rich potato taste and lightly leek flavour. The soup is creamy and smooth. There are a few dices of bread in the soup to give some additional texture, that was great.
The Har Jiong Kar Sandwich has a, I think is, Ciabatta bread, served with thick chunky fries and mesclun salad with drizzle of briny sourish salad dressing. The sandwich has two sauces; the teriyaki and sweet chilli sauce. I like the combination. They are pretty generous with the sauces, so if you are not a very sauce person, you may want to ask for less sauce.
The coffee has a light body, medium aroma and pretty low acidity. It has a strong milk chocolate flavour at first sip with sweet fruity notes for subsequent sips. The coffee is pretty good.
Miss Molly’s has a Tea Time promo from 2pm to 6pm. You can have a slice of cake with coffee and enjoy your relax afternoon in the cafe either by yourself or with some friends.
Miss Molly’s has a nice relaxed ambience with some very interesting food on the menu and good coffee. I am hoping they will have a East meets West pizza.
