One of my lunch was a takeaway from Papaya Pok Pok during the work week as no food was provided. Since I need to do a fast takeaway so the best way was to find something within the mall. And Papaya Pok Pok was in the Langham Place Mall.
I am curious why they named the stall as Papaya Pok Pok. Papaya Pok Pok is Papaya salad in Thai. I don’t see that they specialised in this dish after all. Anyway …
Papaya Pok Pok sells lots of Asean dishes such as Pineapple Fried Rice, Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice, Singapore Laksa, Beef Rendang with rice, Grilled Chicken in Herbal Sauce with rice, Minced pork & Fried Egg with Rice, Tom Yam Kung Glass Noodle, Phad Thai, Green/Red Thai Curry and more.
I ordered the Roast Collar Pork with Fried Garlic Rice. It was delicious. The pork was tender and flavourful while the garlic fried rice was garlicky and eggy. I love the combination.
Though it was a takeway, it still tasted yummy. I am sure it will taste even better if dine in.
I am keen to try out other stuff to see how authentic the food were.
