The Gem Museum presented A Galaxy of Moons & Stars at last year Singapore Night Festival. Once again, they have created some gorgeous Arts for 2018 using gemstones. The theme for this year is The Lost World of Terranova. We are excited to visit this private museum to admire the unusual terrarium exhibition of fossils and gemstones with phenomenal effects.
In case you are wondering what The Gem Museum has to offer, here is a short introduction about them. It is a private museum that displays gems and minerals from Mr Tay Thye Sun’s private collections.
The Lost World of Terranova
For the Singapore Night Festival 2018, The Gem Museum decided to combine the last 2 years theme into The Lost World of Terranova. As such visitors who missed out on either or both years will get a flavour of both the theme.
In addition, the other objective The Gem Museum wanted to showcase is that gems could be part of a lifestyle and it isn’t only for the ultra rich and it isn’t only as jewellery. It could be as a display in Terrarium too.
Look closely at the various Terrarium display and you will spot the various gems such as Emerald, Sapphire, Quartz, Opal, Pearl and etc.
There are gems that glow under ultra violet ray too.
The Gem Museum enchanced one of last year gemstone art piece, Forrest with colours and projecting lights and some thunder lighting effects on the Forrest.
Besides the Terrarium and art piece, there are many other gems, Coloured Diamond and fossil, Siberian Tiger are on display, the Meteorite that was found in China is also available at The Lost World of Terranova.
A Coral Fossil, likewise was found in China and even the Dinosaur poop fossil is on display.
