Woon Woon Pek BeeHoon @ Chomp Chomp Food Centre is their third outlet. The other two are at Whampoa Market and the Changi Village which was their first. I visited their first when they first started out. This revisit surprised me as they were even better.
Located at Stall 10 of Chomp Chomp Food Centre, hence they are surrounded by lots of Seafood BBQ stall. The next time when you are at this Hawker Centre, one more selection. When you needed your seafood fix and required something light or non-heaty, turn to Woon Woon Pek Mee Hoon instead.
I noticed a slight change to their menu too. The first 3 items existed since their Day 1 at Changi Village; Lala Sliced Fish White BeeHoon ($5 / $8 / $12), Lala Prawn White BeeHoon ($6 / $10 / $15) and lastly, the Lala Crayfish White BeeHoon ($10 / $20 / $30).
At their Chomp Chomp outlet, there are Lala Scallop White BeeHoon ($10 / $20 / $30). The most alluring of all is the Premium item, Lala Lobster White BeeHoon ($25 / $48 / $70). This certainly has to be my choice dinner.
Bee Hoon texture was perfect and it absorbed the essence of the broth and yet it didn’t turn it soggy.
OMG!! Look at the amount and the size of Pork Lard dumped onto the plate. These are only fraction of what’s available on my plate. While I was dinning beside the stall, a customer even requested for more of these sinfully delicious delicacy.
If you prefer tons of seafood, you can always order add-on. I got 2 Crayfish added to my Lala Lobster White Mee Hoon.
Finally, don’t forget to finish up all the broth as all the seafood essence is in there. The broth was rich in seafood flavour and the vegetable increased the sweetness of the broth.
NAHMJ Verdict
Woon Woon Pek BeeHoon @ Chomp Chomp has since improved from their original recipe which I very much prefer. Highly recommended.
