London Fat Duck @ VivoCity – Harbourfront, Singapore

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity is yet another outlet after their first successful outlet located at Scotts Square. They entered this southern most shopping mall in Singapore after VivoCity got a new outfit at its basement 2.

Personally, I quite enjoy the roast duck at London Fat Duck though there were decent amount of negative comments about them. I do concur that there isn’t anything special about the roast duck but as a Roast Duck dish, they does it well

Since the signature item at London Fat Duck is the Roast Duck, there is no reason why we shouldn’t be ordering it. As such we ordered the Roast Duck Regular ($16.80).  It was still as flavourful as the one we tried at their Scotts Square outlet.

BBQ 2 Combination ($14.80) is always the highlight in Cantonese restaurant and it is always an inevitable order.

When dinning solo at London Fat Duck, one could opt for the BBQ 2 Combination Rice ($9.80) instead.

Signature Black Pepper London Duck Bun ($5.50) is one of the 2 highlight at London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, well-suited for the diners who love black pepper.

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Crispy London Duck Bun ($5.20)

Personally, I prefer the Crispy London Duck Bun ($5.20).

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Steamed Shrimp Dumpling "Har Kao" ($6.00)

Har Gao is always a must. The skin is relatively thin and chewy with fresh prawn.

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Pan-Fried Radish Cake ($5.20)

Pan-Fried Radish Cake ($5.20) is soft in texture and it isn’t too floury. Filled with chinese ham and shrimp, elevating the otherwise flat flavour of the cake.

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Shrimp in Beancurd Skin Fritters ($5.20)

Shrimp in Beancurd Skin Fritters ($5.20) is one of my favourite too. Dip into the vinegar-tasting sauce to reduce the oily feel.

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Crispy Shrimp Dumpling ($5.80)

Crispy Shrimp Dumpling ($5.80) is indeed crispy as the name suggested with plump juicy prawn.

For me, Hong Kong Egg Tart ($4.20) is never to be missed at Dim Sum. Though their isn’t the best, I can still make do with it to ease my sweet tooth.

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity, Harbourfront, Singapore - Chilled Aloe Vera Jelly with Chrysanthemum ($4.20)

Rounding the meal with a refreshing and lightly sweetened Chilled Aloe Vera Jelly with Chrysanthemum ($4.20).

NAHMJ Verdict

London Fat Duck @ VivoCity is a great place for a decent Dim Sum meal.
