I am a fan of Keisuke Lobster Ramen though I have been hearing from a number of bloggers indicating they didn’t find it delish. I love it though. Keisuke has other F&B establishment such as Gyoza King which is also their, another of my fave too. Many felt Ramen Keisuke Kani King is far superior than their Lobster Ramen, and I finally found time to savour this bowl of crab broth ramen at Cineleisure.
The interior is quite funky. Filled with all the Japanese elements, decorating the interior to make it feel fun and casual. There are counter seats, communal and normal dinning tables as option.
Like all the Keisuke joints, on the table diners will find a handful of condiments, complimentary vegetables and lastly EGGS! But a pity, these are hard-boiled eggs.
At Ramen Keisuke Kani King, there is one other item, whole sesame seeds for grinding while waiting for your food as an alternative to enjoying the complimentary food.
Offerings of broth is solely Crab flavoured. If you are craving for either Pork or Chicken or even lobster, you need to patronise their other outlets. Ramen Keisuke for Tonkatsu Ramen, Ramen Keisuke Tori King for Chicken Ramen and Ramen Keisuke Lobster King for Lobster Ramen. If you have been to the Lobster outlet at Clarke Quay, you would observe a similar menu. First is the Clear Broth. Followed by the Rich Broth, Spicy. Two other options are Crab Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles) which was out of stock and KANI TAMA Ramen (Crab Broth with Mixed Fried Omelet), I will try next time.
We tried both the Rich Broth and Spicy Broth. We prefer the latter as we feel that the spiciness masked a little of the saltiness.
For sides, there is only one option, Gyoza. The skin wrap of the gyoza was extremely thin, this was great, filling was flavourful too.
NAHMJ Verdict
All in all, I still prefer my Lobster Ramen as the sweetness of lobster taste better than crab broth at Ramen Keisuke Kani King. There is a slight seafood pungent in the crab broth which I find it missing in the former. NAHMJ like to think that it is very much one’s preference.
