Hotel Aryaduta Bandung is a 5-star business and leisure hotel offering both rooms and suite to travellers.
Location
The hotel is perched on an attitude within Bandung City. With significant attractions and numerous factory outlets within proximity, it is certainly a convenient location for both tourists and business travellers.
Best of all, Hotel Aryaduta Bandung is connected to Bandung Indah Plaza Mall which has a Supermarket, restaurants, bakery and clothing & shoes shops.
Hotel Lobby
Elegant lobby was on the ground floor. Wifi was available too.
Check In / Check Out
Guest service staff spoke good English but was slow and number of staff available was scanty during peak. Hence, waiting time was long.
Concierge
Luggage were sent to room within minutes after check-in.
Service in other aspect was excellent. They deliver every single request on time such as request for a medium size box and adapter.
Room
I got the room on the highest floor. I was pleased with the size. It was spacious. The room was rather plain looking with interior design of the 80s. Room has air-conditioning that are adjustable for temperature and was working well. Wireless Wifi with decent speed was experienced in the rooms.
Room lighting was a little too orangish and dim for working. Room includes flat-screen cable/satellite TV, minibar and personal safe.
The height of the bed was good for me as I need not climb onto the bed. However, the bed was sunk a little on one side.
The number of electricity power point was limited to 2 and both were the Indonesia standards.
The complimentary beverage is limited to instant coffee only. There wasn’t any tea bag provided. But strangely, they offered lots of sugar. The available kettle has fraying wire. In other word, the plastic covering the wire was torn. Personally, I consider this as a safety hazard.
Bathroom
The bathroom does not have a separate showering area from the bathtub. Hence for guest with knees condition or weak legs will have challenges getting into the bathtub for a bath.
Toiletries are quite complete. Almost all the standard are available in the bathroom.

Since it is in the city, expect view of building. At the very least, there are greens.
Housekeeping of the room
The house keeping standard was low. I spotted a layer of dust on the hangers that are in the cupboard. The bathtub isn’t as clean as it should be too. And perhaps due to the age of the bathtub, some parts were turning yellowish. Quite disgusting.
Restaurants
There are 4 F&B dinning available in Hotel Aryaduta. First is the Taruma Cafe, located on the mezzanine floor, offering all day dinning from 6am to 12 midnight. This is also where guests are served their breakfast should their room package is inclusive of breakfast buffet.
Next is the Cha Yuen Chinese Restaurant whipping Dim Sum. Buffet is available at IDR 85k per person on every every Sunday and Public Holiday from 9am to 3pm.
Followed by Pasar Malam at Swarga Loka The Garden Restaurant, serving dinner buffet at IDR 185k per person.
2 other F&B, both found at the ground floor are the Lobby Lounge and Cinnamon Pastry Boutique.
Other Facilities
Surprisingly, beside the usual swimming pool, there are others sport facilities.
Swimming Pool
A small pool of 0.6m for kids was built out of the big pool. This isn’t the best arrangement for kids as there is risk that the kid might cross into the big pool. The adult portion is range from 1.1m to 1.7m in depth.
Tennis Court
2 outdoor tennis courts are in the premise.
Gym
Gym maybe small but it is equipped with sufficient basic equipment with a training instructor.
Services
Other services include the Kids’ Club and bicycle rental service.
Price
We paid for SGD 60 per night for the period 21 Aug to 26 Aug 2016.
NAHMJ Verdict
We love the location and the services but we were disappointed with the housekeeping standard.
