The first Craftholic Pop-Up Cafe @ Kki Sweets is serving cute food from now till 13 November 2016. This is the first time Craftholic is setting up a pop-up cafe outside Japan and they chose Kki Sweets for this first collaboration.
No changes to the main furniture and designs at Kki Sweets, but the entire space is transformed into the Craftholic Town with lots of Craftholic stuff toys and displays. Therefore, diners will find the entire zen setting turned into a cute cafe.
Small menu with only 2 Mains, 4 parfaits and a local flavour cheesecake is all that is available at the Craftholic Pop-Up Cafe @ Kki Sweets.
First Main was originally Beef Stew with Butter Rice ($16.80+) but it wasn’t available as such it was replaced with Prawn Curry ($16.80+).
Second Main was Garlic Aioli Roast Chicken Sandwich ($16.80+). The sandwich didn’t look appetising but it was tasty. Garlicky tendered pulled chicken on my fave brioche.
There were 4 parfaits. Two were with gelato, namely Choco Banana RAB ($12.80+) and Strawberry RAB ($12.80+). The other 2 were with sorbert, Lemon Soda SLOTH ($12.80+) and Mango Tango SLOTH ($12.80+).
Initially, the RAB Green Tea Hokkaido Pancake was available at the Craftholic Pop-Up Cafe @ Kki Sweets menu but they have since taken it off. Hence, the last dessert available was the Pandan Souffle Cheesecake ($7.80+). I like the Cheesecake. Nothing cheesy, instead Kaya flavour was savoured.
Lastly, Craftholic merchandise is also on sales. The Otona Craft and limited edition collaboration badges collection are at the Crafholic Pop-Up Cafe. Crafholic members are entitled to 10% discount for F&B.
NAHMJ Verdict
Surprisingly, the food offered by Craftholic Pop-Up Cafe @ Kki Sweets was delish which was out of my expectation. I thought it should be mediocre only. Though it wasn’t a surprise for the cake to be outstanding.
