Munchies Bistro is one of the restaurant at Gandaria City that serve American dishes with alcohol selection. If you like to chill out with a drink and the live band, this is the turned to place.

 

 

The bistro is divided into smoking area for the inner half and non-smoking at the first half nearer to the entrance. A pity there isn’t a physical divider to block out the cigarette smoke from diffusing into the non-smoking half.

 

 

Steak

 

Though at Munchies Bistro, they serve an array of food such as Asian selection, Burger & Sandwich, Pasta and Mian Course such as chicken, salmon and lamb, we only tried the beef. 4 choices of beef; Sirloin, Rib Eye, Tenderloin and Wagyu Marbling 4. All except the Wagyu comes in 3 sizes; 250g, 500g and 1kg with 1 side dish, 2 side dishes and 3 side dishes respectively.

 

 

Side dish selections are Butter Rice, French Fries, Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Baby Potatoes.

 

 

For sauce, there are Redwine reduction & Garlic rosemary sauce, Mushroom ragout & Pepper cream sauce, Black Pepper demi-glace & Sauteed mushroom, lastly chimichurri herbs sauce.

 

 

Out of the 3 beef steak we tried, I like the Tenderloin best since it is easy to the chew. I was disappointed with the Wagyu Marbling as it was first too tough and it was not as smooth and melt in the mouth as it should be.

 

 

Desserts

 

A total of 5 desserts were on the menu which include tempting items such as Pandan Creme Brulee (IDR 48k), Black & White Choco Mousse (IDR 55k) and Banana Fritter (IDR 45k).

 

 

The even more alluring choices were Coconut Panna Cotta (IDR 48k) and Munchies Choco Eruption (IDR 55k). Both were equally outstanding.

 

 

For chocolate fan, don’t miss out on the Munchies Coco Eruption (IDR 55k).

 

 

Drinks

 

Out of the 7 Mocktail, I tried 2. My fave among the 2 is Mango Preach Mutation (IDR 35k) a blend of Mango, Peach, peach & mango syrup and slice pear.

 

 

The Mango Orange Splash (IDR 50k) was sweeter than the former. A mix of Mango, Orange and Soda.

 

 

Other drinks available at Munchies Bistro are Juice & Smoothie, various beer and alcoholic drinks.
