Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Rachael And the Louisiana Seafood Bomb Menu

Louisiana Seafood Bomb By Manhattan Fish Market

I am sure Manhattan Fish Market needs little or even no introduction since it has been around in Singapore for quite some years. Manhattan Fish Market introduces the Louisiana Seafood Bomb From Manhattan Fish Market which is available only for a limited period of time, from 1 March 2016 to 31 May 2016. The Louisiana Seafood Bomb is available at all its 16 outlet islandwide.

Manhanttan Fish Market describes its Louisiana Seafood Bomb as “Concocted to give an explosivon of flavours like a gastronomic ‘bomb’. I was curious to experience this Louisana Seafood Bomb and see how it fare. As such I popped by their Plaza Singapura outlet with a friend to try it out.

Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Menu

Louisiana Seafood Bomb

The Louisiana Seafood Bomb is a great sharing for 2 diners. Diners can choose to have the Louisiana Seafood Bomb with the Tiger Prawns ($29.95), Salmon ($33.95) or the Mud Crab ($39.95).

The new Louisiana Seafood Bomb is a combination of six types of amazingly fresh seafood prepared with a special Louisiana sauce. Herbs such as rosemary and oregano were added to enhance the flavour.

Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Louisiana Seafood Bomb with Mud Crab ($39.95)

We tried only the Louisiana Seafood Bomb with Mud Crab. The food was wrapped in a bag and when we were served, we were in anticipation of what was in it. As it unfolded, the first and foremost item we saw, was the crimson coloured Mud Crab. It got us excited. We can’t wait to dive into it.

We spotted the 6 types of seafood in the bag; mussel, clams, squid rings, fish and scallop plus the mud crab. The seafood wasn’t overcooked and the natural sweetness was still retained.

The rice in the Louisiana Seafood Bomb was amazing too. It was flavourful with both the vegetable and seafood sweetness. The fragrance of the sauce was absorbed into the rice and yet the rice still stay grainy.

Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Special Chilli sauce to go along with the Louisiana Seafood Bomb

Manhattan Fish Market has prepared a special sauce, the Spicy Seafood Dip to go along with the Louisiana Seafood Bomb. The taste was a little sourish and hence very appetising. Goodness, we ate more than our usual. Lol!

Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Fried Oreo

Our dessert to end the meal was the Fried Oreo with Ice Cream. Beside it was a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with fresh strawberry dice and a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream drizzled with Chocolate Sauce and an Oreo biscuit. To enjoy the dessert, take a piece of the fried oreo and coat it with generous amount of ice cream of your choice. I am not fan of Oreo so I didn’t fancy this dessert. But Oreo fan, you may rejoice.

Louisiana Seafood Bomb - Gummy Bear ($5.50) and Citrus Mint Smoothies ($5.50)

To complement the meal, we ordered a drink each. The Gummy Bear ($5.50) and Citrus Mint ($5.50). Citrus Mint Smoothies has a light and refreshing mint flavour. I like the taste even though I am not a Mint fan. A pity, both drinks are a little too sweet for us.
