Big Eater seafood restaurant 大食家海鲜 by a canal at upper changi road, mimic the scene of dinning by the river, I suppose. I rarely dine around the east. It was my brother who suggested this seafood restaurant. He tried once and thought it was good. The restaurant occupied quite a huge area space, seemingly like a total of at least 3 units. As the 3 diners weren’t too hungry on that dinner, orders were limited to 3 items.
Hotplate Deer Meat was stirred with lots of onions and spring onions, hence it was extremely fragrance. I must mentioned the sauce too. I can just eat my bowl of rice just with the sauce and nothing else.
We love the deep fried cereal so Cereal Prawns is a must have at our Seafood dinner. 2 diners thought the cereal prawns were good though one diner felt it could be better. Personally, I thought it was good though. Perhaps I am basis.
The next dish, the Salted Egg Yolk Crab is definitely one of the best. It has pungent thick and creamy salted egg yolk sauce. It was so thick till when you dip the crab flesh into the sauce, it was coated without dripping. We finished up till the last drop of sauce. It was finger licking good.
We ordered a Green Apple Juice with Plum and 2 Lime Juice with Plum. Both drinks were refreshing and appertising, sweetish and sourish.
NAHMJ Verdict
There are many other dishes NAHMJ would like to try at Big Eater Seafood Restaurant. We thought that the dishes were reasonably delish with an outstanding Salted Egg Yolk Crab, easily the best. I will be back for just both this dish and the Hotplate Deer Meat.
