Some of you who know about the song “A Spoonful of Sugar” may associate it with Mary Poppins, but here I am referring to an whimsical ice cream parlour at Changi Village, a few doors away from Chock Full of Beans.
lts interior is with bright green chairs and bright yellow table tops. And I love the lights with ice cream cones and teddy bears in parachute. The decoration is very cute.
It has the typical ice cream parlour menu. Beside ice cream, there are drinks, waffles and cakes.
I was there for the ice cream and waffles. As usual, after trying a few flavours, I went for Chendol and Earl Grey and waffle.
The waffle served in A Spoonful of Sugar is extremely crispy. If you like the crispy verson, this is a must have. The Chendol tasted a little more like corn ice cream as it is lacking of gula melaka flavour, while the Earl Grey has a nice flavour of Earl Grey.
In summary, the ice cream is lightly scented and less creamy. It is definitely good for people who don’t like rich ice cream. The best part, it is only slightly sweetish.
