My day 3 in Hong Kong in August 2014, also my last day, ended with a rather relaxing itinerary. It was very much of roaming and soaking in cafe. I didn’t start my day extremely early, check out the hotel at about 9am. As usual I left my luggage with the hotel.
Day 3 In Hong Kong In August 2014
The first destination of the day was having breakfast at Rabbithole Cafe.
After I was done with my breakfast, I was still pretty early so I decided to walked towards Golden Bauhinia Square. As some construction work was going-on in the area, it was kind of a detour to the place so it wasn’t convenient to get there. I thought there would be some link way all the way into Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre but the link bridge ended at Conventional Plaza Arcade. Maybe there is, either I didn’t know or I didn’t find it. Let me know if you know about the link bridge.
I took a few shot and then moved on to PMQ. I took the tram to Central from Wan Chai.
Again, I was at PMQ for the last time before heading back to Singapore. I was there to get the Panda Bear shaped biscuits from Cafe Life. I bought 3 packs to share with family and friends.
Since I was in a cafe, not forgetting to have a coffee. I got a Iced Latte since the weather was very hot.
I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go to Hung Hom to try the Mammy Pancake or rather Egglets. As I was deciding, I went into Petite Petite to get some bags as gifts and saw a cute doggy in the shop. She was too shy to look into my camera.
And I passed by a stall selling some rabbit latern for the Mid Autumn Festival that is coming up. I have passed by the street that sell lots of party costume and finally decided to take a photo.
My decision, I took a ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui. Due to the low tide, there was a notice to warn passenger of the steep ramp.
… and ended up shopping at Harbourcity Shopping Mall instead. It was quite a fruitful shopping trip. At the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, I got a few Chicken Pie and Egg Tart from Arome Bakery. The feedback I got from my family was it was not delicious. The Egg Tart was very normal. On hindsight, I should have gotten Kam Fung’s or Kam Wah’s Egg Tart instead.
At the end of the shopping, I was pretty tire, found Caffe Greco and enjoyed my Tea Break there.
Soon it was time to move on. Before heading back to the hotel, I went to get my mom’s favourite, the glutinous rice cake and the family favourite Heung Hang’s wife cake. And it was time to go to the airport for my flight back home.
As usual, charge my mobile phone before checking in and then have my dinner at Maxim Food2.
I saw the beautiful sunset in my July trip so I make my way to the same spot hopping to see a nice sunset but it wasn’t as nice as July.
Took the 3.5 hours flight and soon home sweet home.
